On April 21, 2024, the conference on the Blue Book of Law-Based Government: Annual Report on China’s Law-Based Government (2023) was successfully held in Beijing. Sponsored by the Administrative Law Studies Institute of China Law Society (ALSCLS) and organized by the School of Law-based Government of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), the event saw participation from over 30 experts and scholars from Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Ministry of Justice, Peking University, Tsinghua University, CUPL, as well as leaders from judicial practice departments of evaluated cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The report highlighted outstanding performances from cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Xiamen, Suzhou, and Wuxi.
