In the afternoon of September 26, the 2017 Blue Book of Law-Based Government: the Assessment Report of China’s Law-based Government written by the School of Law-based Government (SLBG), China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), and published by the Social Sciences Academic Press, was released in Beijing. Since its launching back in 2013, in the past five years, this project has become one of the key projects of SLBG and has generated great influences both home and abroad.

In the assessment on law-based government from 2013 to 2017, 10 local governments were selected for their good performances for the past 5 years in a row. These 10 local governments, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Changsha, Chengdu and Xiamen, were awarded as “Exemplary City of Law-based Government”.
