“Sino-French Administrative Law Forum” Held in Beijing

On April 8, 2016, the Administrative Law Studies Institute of China Law Society sponsored the “Sino-French Administrative Law Forum” in Beijing, which is organized by the Law School and School of Law-based Government of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The conference invited famous French scholars Prof. Jean Du Gaudusson, Honorary President of Bordeaux University, and Ms. Guerin, State Councilor of the French Supreme Administrative Court and President of Bordeaux Appeal Court. Experts and scholars of the theory and practice circles also attended the conference. They discussed many issues existing in Sino-French administrative law, such as, “Administrative Contract Litigation”, "Censorship on Normative Documents”, “Objective Litigation and Administrative Public Interest Litigation”, and “Codification of Administrative Procedure and Procedural Review”, and etc.. More than 40 experts and scholars attended the forum and participated in the discussion. Some were from the substantive departments, such as, the Commission of Legislative Affairs of the National People’s Congress, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, Legislative Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government, the Chinese Academy of Governance. The others were from universities, for instance, Peking University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Shandong University, Guangzhou University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The opening ceremony was presided by Prof. Ma Huaide, President of Administrative Law Studies Institute of China Law Society (ALSICLS) and Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). Prof. Ying Songnian, Honorary President of ALSICLS and Tenured Professor of CUPL, and Prof. Jean Du Gaudusson, Honorary President of Bordeaux University, delivered speeches respectively.
