On January 5, 2017, the symposium titled “Internet Economics and Administrative Rules and Regulations” and the inauguration ceremony of the Internet and Legal Regulation Research Center of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) were held successfully in Beijing.

 

The Opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Wang Jingbo, Dean of the School of the Law-based Government, CUPL. Professor Ma Huaide, Vice President of CUPL and President of China Administrative Law Society (CALS), sent congratulations on the establishment of the center.

 

The first section was keynote speeches. Prof. Yang Weidong, Vice Dean of the Department of Law, Chinese Academy of Governance, and three other scholars delivered speeches concerning the topic of Internet legal regulations.

 

The second section was a roundtable discussion on “Administrative Licensing in the Field of the Internet”. Many participants expressed views on issues such as the scope and implementation of administrative licensing in the field of the Internet.

 

Wang Qingbin, Professor of the School of the Law-based Government and Director of the Center for Internet and Legal Regulation of CUPL made some closing remarks.
