On December 18, 2017, the Inaugural Ceremony of the Beijing Municipal Research Bases on Rule of Law in Education and the Seminar on Compilation of the Beijing Annual Report of Rule of Law in Education was held in Beijing Normal University. At the inaugural ceremony, the Legislative Affairs Office of the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal People’s Congress, the Office of Education, Science and Technology, Culture, Health and Sports of Beijing Municipal People's Congress, Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Legislative Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government respectively signed agreements with China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University and Beijing Foreign Studies University. Based on the four agreement, the Beijing Municipal Research Bases on Rule of Law in Education will be established jointly by the four colleges and universities. As one of the four bases, CUPL will carry out research projects on the theories and practices of rule of law in education in Beijing and will mainly undertake the researching and drafting of educational administrative legislation in Beijing, standardization of operations in educational administrative law enforcement, resource construction for juvenile legal education, researches of difficult and complex education-related administrative cases, and etc. The specific work of the CUPL base will be conducted by the School of Law-Based Government, CUPL.
