Chinese Premier Li Keqiang Chairs a Seminar with Experts, Scholars and Business People and Prof. Ma Huaide Speaks at the Seminar

In the afternoon of January 15th, 2019, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang held a seminar to hear opinions from experts, scholars and business people to the “Report on the Work of the Government (Draft for Comments)”. At the seminar, Prof. Ma Huaide, Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), spoked about the “nonfeasance” in the advancement of law-based government. He suggested standardizing the procedure for law enforcement, establishing an inspection mechanism for the government, building and improving the third-party assessment mechanism for law-based government, as well as providing incentives for government officials who act in accordance with the law and disincentives for official for acts of nonfeasance and misfeasance.
