On May 23, 2021, the Forum on Personal Information Protection and Seminar on the Legislation of the Personal Information Protection Law (Draft), sponsored by the Administrative Law Review was successfully held in Beijing. The event was attended by experts, scholars and legal practitioners from the NPC Standing Committee, Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance), Peking University, Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Renmin University of China as well as other universities and research institutes. The forum on personal information protection was held in the morning and the seminar on the legislation of the Personal Information Protection Law (Draft) was held in the afternoon. Participants held in-depth discussion on the fundamental theories of personal information protection and the Personal Information Protection Law (Draft).
