On June 8, 2025, sponsored by the Department of Law of the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Secretariat of the Major Special Project of the Ministry of Education on “Constructing China's Autonomous Jurisprudential Knowledge System”, and organized by the Institute of National Institutions of Zhejiang University, a kick-off meeting was held in Beijing for the preparation of the “Disciplinary Manual of China's Autonomous Jurisprudential Knowledge System”. The kick-off meeting for the preparation of the “Handbook on China's Autonomous Legal Knowledge System” was successfully held in Beijing. Prof. Zhang Wenxian, General Convener of the Ministry of Education's “Constructing China's Autonomous Legal Knowledge System” Major Project, Convener of the Department of Law of the Social Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, and Director of the Preparation Committee of the “Disciplinary Handbook on China's Autonomous Legal Knowledge System” pointed out when presiding over the meeting that It is a major decision of the Party Central Committee to construct an autonomous knowledge system of Chinese philosophy and social sciences. The construction of China's independent legal knowledge system is a major task to construct China's independent knowledge system of philosophy and social sciences, a great project to promote the Chineseization of Marxist jurisprudence in the new era, and an urgent need to cultivate high-quality rule of law talents with both integrity and competence. Prof. Zhang Wenxian emphasized that the construction of China's independent knowledge system of jurisprudence disciplinary manuals should be based on the identifying concepts and original theories of each discipline, and should combine the methodology of “three sources” to condense concepts and theories, and to further prepare the manuals of each discipline of jurisprudence with originality and systematicity, so as to establish the “four pillars and eight pillars” of the knowledge system of each discipline of jurisprudence.
