On October 20th and 21st, 2012, the first representative assembly and the 2012 Annual Meeting of China Administrative Law Society (CALS) was held successfullyin Changning District of East China University of political science and law. The conference was sponsored by CALS and organized by East China University of political science and law, and co-organized by Shanghai High People’s Court. There were more than 300 experts and scholars took part in. The meeting selected Prof. Ma Huaide, Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), as President of China Administrative Law Society. At the same time produced the list of Council members, Standing Council members and Vice President. Meanwhile Prof. Ying Songnian of CUPL took the position of Honorary President and Director of Academic Committee, and Prof. Zhu Weijiu of CUPL was selected as the Consultant. Prof. Liu Shen was chosen to be Vice President and Prof. Xue Gangling, Secretary General of CALS. This year’s theme was “Improvement of Administrative Relief System”. The participants discussed widely and thoroughly, based on the foundation of administrative relief system, administrative reconsideration system, the development and perfection of administrative litigation system. Many suggestions were also provided for the amendment of Administrative Reconsideration Law and Administrative Litigation Law.
